The Marina pattern, with its large asymmetrical collar, has been updated this autumn to offer a sleeved version. Marina is therefore a very comprehensive pack, as the design can be sewn as a dress (in two lengths), a top, and now as a sweatshirt.

A versatile sweatshirt version, as you can make it from both knitted and woven fabrics.

DETAILS

The Marina pattern can be sewn as:

A sweatshirt, dress or top,
Trucker-style, asymmetrical collar,

For sleeveless versions:

Straight hem for the top, hem with side slit for the dress,
Cuff bands,
Button placket to roll up the sleeves.

For sleeved versions:

Sweatshirt-style finish with cuffs and drawstring at the bottom,
Finished with simple hems

SIZES:

The Marina pattern ranges from size 34 to size 52

As usual, choose your size based on your measurements and the size chart (see images).

HEIGHT:

The pattern is designed for a height of 1m65

If you need to lengthen or shorten the pattern, the adjustment lines are marked on the pattern.

For the top and the sweatshirt, simply extend the side lines. As they are only slightly flared, this is the simplest method.
For the dress, however, cut along the line provided for this purpose and add or remove the necessary amount.

As I am 1m60 tall, I took 2cm off the length of the dress.

RECOMMENDED FABRICS:

Stretchy knits with good structure.

Lightweight sweatshirt fabric, terry cloth, embossed jersey, etc.

in Rushes cotton jacquard (warp and weft 396g/m²) from Merchant & Mills
in a hearts jacquard (warp and weft 330g/m²) from Augustine et Balthazar
in grey French Terry from Mercerine (260g/m²) with a denim collar from Torretto Tessuti
in heavyweight royal blue French Terry from Mercerine (280g/m²)

Version with SLEEVES:

Finish with sweatshirt cuffs: sizes 34 to 46: 160 cm / sizes 48 to 52: 200 cm

Fabrics with a width of 150 cm:
