What’s the difference between PDF and printed?
PDF patterns are digital files you receive instantly after purchase.
Printed patterns are the same patterns, but we print them for you at full scale on A0 paper, so they arrive ready to use.
Which option should I choose?
If you’d prefer to get straight to sewing, printed is the easiest option.
If you’re happy printing at home or using your own setup, PDF works just as well.
What does “A0” mean?
A0 is a large paper size used for sewing patterns.
It allows pattern pieces to be printed full scale on a small number of pages, so there’s no trimming or taping.
Can I print a pattern I already own?
Yes — you can upload your own PDF pattern and we’ll print it for you.
You’ll need the A0 or copy shop file, which is usually included with most PDF patterns.
Do I receive the PDF if I choose printed?
Yes — if you purchase a pattern through The Pattern Press, you’ll still receive the PDF files, even if you choose the printed option.
